Sustainability is at the core of mission for Guaranteed Irish - to foster positive change within communities. The organisation is committed to promoting sustainable business practices that align with global standards while emphasising their core values of supporting quality jobs and strengthening local communities
Supply chain due diligence is fast becoming a key determinant of business success. Larger companies are already being held accountable for the sustainability practices for their entire supply chain through their CSRD reporting. Incorporating sustainability into a business is not just about compliance, it’s about opportunity—opportunities to drive efficiency, cut costs, enhance brand reputation, and ultimately, increase bottom line.
Integrating sustainability into a business model doesn’t just align with environmental goals—it provides a strategic advantage, there are many benefits to adopting sustainable practices now.
- Access better financing or green loans
- Reduce operational costs
- Gain a competitive edge by aligning with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and enter new supply chains.
This prepares your company for upcoming requirements and positions you for partnerships with companies already reporting under CSRD. Sustainable practices will help meet evolving customer expectations whilst also strengthening employee retention and trust.
Shane O’ Reilly, Managing Director of Sustainable Futures at KPMG, backs this up by saying; " The roadmap is cleverly thought out, from the foundation level, or implementation to leadership, it has a graduated approach that allows you to choose the appropriate level that is relevant for your company right now”.
Clemence Jamet, Head of Operations & Sustainability at Guaranteed Irish said; ‘‘This roadmap, developed in collaboration with KPMG, combines their top-tier expertise in sustainability with the specific challenges of our members. Backed by KPMG’s vast experience, Guaranteed Irish has created a tool that is both forward-thinking and practical, designed to deliver real impact for businesses of all sizes.”
Starting in 2025, the roadmap will play a key role in the Membership application process. New applicants will be required to meet the criteria outlined in the Foundation stage to qualify for membership. For existing members, alignment with the roadmap will become part of the renewal process, ensuring that all members are progressively working towards shared sustainability goals.
