The Small Benefit Scheme allows employers to provide a tax-exempt reward to Irish employees of up to €1,000 per year. The benefit cannot be cash (or paid through payroll) and for this tax-year a maximum of two rewards up to a combined total value of €1,000 can be given.
From January 2025, the maximum limit is increasing to €1,500, and the maximum number of permitted rewards will be five instead of two.
