Wrapping Up Guaranteed Irish Month 2023

Written by Seán Kennedy | Mar 29, 2023 8:22:11 AM

March 2023 was a very important month here in Guaranteed Irish. Between our national promotion campaign, our 2nd annual awards show, and dozens of new members joining us, it's been the best 'Guaranteed Irish Month' yet.

Promotion Campaign

Throughout March, we asked you to 'look out for the g' as we rolled out a month-long promotional campaign to encourage shoppers to support local and shop with Guaranteed Irish member businesses.

Guaranteed Irish invested over €300,000 over the last month and received incredible feedback from consumers and member businesses alike.

Did you spot the 'G'? Here are some examples of where it could be found:

On Dublin Bus

On RTÉ Television

On RTÉ Radio 1 with Ryan Tubridy

On the Business Plus website

You may also have seen our billboards in Dublin train stations, heard our ads on Newstalk, and heard our CEO Brid O'Connell being interviewed by Joe Lynam on Newstalk, and Galway Talks with Keith Finnegan on Galway Bay FM - all of which can be found and listened back to on our Instagram account: @guaranteed_Irl.

Market Research

We recently carried out Market Research with 'RedC Research' and 'Market Dynamics' into the power of the Guaranteed Irish 'G' Symbol, and what it meant to both consumers and Guaranteed Irish members alike.

Our research showed that 77% of consumers agree that Guaranteed Irish stands out from other brands in its genuine support for Irish jobs, communities, and the circular economy; and that 99% of members agree that the Guaranteed Irish symbol successfully communicates how support for local businesses and communities can help develop a sustainable local economy.

Guaranteed Irish Business Awards

On March 14th we hosted the 2nd annual Guaranteed Irish Business Awards in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin. Building on the success of the inaugural Guaranteed Irish Business Awards in 2022, the sold out 2023 ceremony saw a big increase in finalists with more than 120 member businesses shortlisted across several categories, with 18 counties represented on the day. The categories included Beauty & Fashion; Construction, Engineering & Manufacturing; Craft, Home & Gifting; E-Commerce; Food & Beverage; Pharmaceutical, Healthcare & MedTech; Professional Services; Retail, Tourism & Hospitality; and Technology. There were also a number of Guaranteed Irish Achievement Awards and the Guaranteed Irish Person of the Year Award.

See our full list of winners on our previous blog.
