Based in Naas, Co. Kildare, Trident recognised the need to continuously evolve, both in terms of sustainability and client demands. ### **Trident’s Sustainability Journey** In 2022, Trident Controls established its Sustainability Statement and developed a roadmap to achieve defined goals. This commitment extends to both internal operations and client services, focusing on making processes more energy-efficient and sustainable. The company encourages continuous learning, sponsoring team members to complete climate-related courses, including those from Trinity College Dublin and the SEAI, ensuring they are equipped to tackle the evolving landscape of climate change and energy efficiency.   ### **The Three-Pronged Sustainability Approach:** - Consultancy Services: Recognising the overwhelming amount of information around sustainability, Trident offers a consultancy service for Irish SMEs. From developing sustainability statements to setting energy management goals, Trident helps clients streamline their sustainability efforts and avoid greenwashing. - Bespoke Electrical Control Panels: Trident designs, manufactures, and installs bespoke electrical control panels. These panels are crafted with a focus on reducing waste and energy consumption, adhering to circular economy principles by being repairable, extendable, and upgradeable. - Energy Management Services: In 2024, Trident introduced an energy management service. This customisable solution helps clients monitor energy usage across various levels (from distribution boards to individual machines) to make informed decisions. With the upcoming ESG reporting requirements, this service ensures clients can manage their energy consumption efficiently. ### **Addressing Client Challenges** In recent years, many clients turned to Trident with concerns about rising energy costs and inconsistent power supplies. These challenges led to the development of Trident's holistic approach to energy management. The process begins with a site visit, where the team installs energy monitors at key locations. Based on the data collected, Trident offers tailored advice, including suggestions for machine-level improvements or maintenance.
