July is Tourism & Hospitality Month in Guaranteed Irish

July marks Tourism and Hospitality Month here at Guaranteed Irish.

It’s the time of the year where we shine a light on the tourism and hospitality sector across the country. The tourism sector was one of the worst-affected industries in the world, not just in Ireland, between 2020 and 2022. Thankfully, 2023 marks an almost full recovery to pre-pandemic levels of tourism & hospitality in Ireland, so we are dedicating an entire month to promoting the industry to ensure it continues to thrive over the coming years.

Our Tourism industry, often under-reported and under paid, has often felt like the abandoned relation in terms of economic sectors, yet it has been the backbone of the Irish economy for decades. It’s a sector that hires approximately 325,000 people in Ireland and it has trudged quietly along, adding colour, vibrancy, and often much needed part-time employment to many of our towns and villages.

Which is why we want you to look within the borders of this fabulous country this July. Throughout the month, Guaranteed Irish are encouraging you to be a tourist in your own country and enjoy some of the wonderful tourist and hospitality facilities and activities on offer throughout our Emerald Isle.

Most of us have probably never experienced many of our own tourist attractions - when was the last time you visited some of our natural and historical locations like Newgrange, the Burren,  Benbulbin or Glendalough? Or our big tourist attractions like Emerald Park or Dublin Zoo?

So, why not look local this summer, before you look abroad. After all, every €20 you spend in Ireland this Summer is worth €100 to the Irish economy. Just something to keep in mind this month.

So wherever you go this Summer, #LookOutForTheG and stay tuned as we’ll be exploring the many tourist attractions this country has to offer.

We may even have some giveaways and prizes to win along the way.
